The province of Teramo, which is salso the capital city of Abruzzo, is formed by an exceptional natural environment: a band of beautiful beaches on the Adriatic Sea that collects over 60% of tourists in the region; an intermediate range of hills, tempered by sea breezes, producing valuable food products, in particular the oil PDO of “Colline Teramane”, the prestigious wine Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and many other delights of the earth; behind all this, the National Park “Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga”, an alpine environment with the highest mountain of the Apennines, rock climbing, ski slopes, vast beech, chestnut trees, meadows, lakes, waterfalls, fairy villages, ruins of castles, churches and hermitages inaccessible. In summary: from the sea to Gran Sasso in less than an hour crossing the hill towns that have (also great) all views of the sea and the chain of Gran Sasso. The territory also has extraordinary city of art, which retain many treasures, and its temples of worship, erected in honor of Christendom. The landscape is often embellished with ancient villages that towered, perched on rocky cliffs dominate those built further down which, in turn, slightly on the hills, sloping down to the beaches of the Adriatic.
