Soverato is located in the south of the Gulf of Squillace, about 20 km from the regional capital. Represents the most important tourist attraction on the Ionian coast and because of its beauty is called the “Pearl of the Ionian Sea”. Soverato is variously distributed in the territory, it is possible to distinguish three zones quotas, the first on the coast, the second, a short distance and slightly detached from the first, in the low hills and the third, at the same height as the second, is what remains of the old Soverato (Old Soverato). The population is predominantly centered in the lower part of the town. The hilly area inhabited Soverato takes the name of Soverato.
