A beautiful area rich in nature, history, folklore and gastronomy, a green valley which takes its name from the river that runs through it: the Black that form farther south Marmore falls and flows into the Tiber. 300 sq km inhabited only by fifteen thousand people.
Dall’incassato valley covered with thick woods we pass to the highlands where they are still visible traces of the age-old human presence in the area. A landscape characterized by fortifications and medieval towers, with powerful abbeys and solitary hermitages, from small countries included in an environment completely untouched.
Between these two of the most impressive “hearts” religious Umbria, Norcia and Cascia. Among the local products linked to traditional sheep cheese deserves a special place. Other delights of the area are: trout, truffles, honey and meats.
