The most beautiful and well known among the valleys of Cordevole is without a doubt the Valley Harness, and is just the way it is called the Marmolada area.
In winter, this area offers the opportunity to ski not only on the Marmolada but also on Padon, which is the gateway to the ski carousel Dolomiti Superski, of which all the lifts are part of Rocca Pietore.
Besides skiing, the area of the Marmolada offers many winter sports activities, such as ice climbing in the beautiful gorge of Serrari Sottoguda.
The valley is rich in historical monuments to visit such as the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in the Gothic style of Rocca Pietore, Sottoguda the church and the church of San Gottardo in Laste which offers an enchanting view of the whole valley of ‘ Cordevole high and you can see the massifs of Monte Civetta and Monte Pelmo.
For fans of the dolomitic nature, among the many natural attractions, “I Serrai Sottoguda” are undoubtedly the most interesting and are a natural spectacle unique. The gorge, by erosion of the glaciers and then water, is situated between Malga Ciapela and Sottoguda, is about 2km long, and can be visited both summer and winter.
